Ingredients

- 1 kg chicken (with bone)
- 4 medium onion (roughly chopper)
- 10 cloves garlic
- 1 inch ginger
- 6 green chillies
- 3 tsp pepper
- 1/2 tsp turmeric
- 3 tbsp soya sauce
- 3 tbsp green sauce
- 1 capsicum (optional)
- salt to taste
- 3 tbsp oil
- Grind onion,ginger,garlic and 3 green chillies into a smooth paste.
- Keep pan on medium flame,add oil,when oil is hot add the ground onion paste and fry till the raw smell goes.
- Now add pepper,3 green chillies slit lenghtwise and turmeric and fry till the oil separates.
- Add soya sauce and green chilli sauce and stir for a minute,now add the chicken and salt.mix well,cover and cook.
- When the chicken is almost cooked add chopped capsicum and cook for few more minutes.Add water if you want a thinner gravy.
- Serve with chappati or mixed fried rice

ReplyDeleteThis reminds me of the stewed chicken that my grandmother used to make...I'm trying yours for all of the garlic, green chillies, and tumeric. I believe that it will be YUMMY :)

ReplyDeletegreen sauce is optional.....you can add extra chillies and little vinegar to get the similar taste...(you can actually find green sauce in the Chinese food section)...hope this was helpful

Is green sauce same as green chilli sauce?

In your recipe you mention 6 green chillies in the ingredients and for masala you grind only 3 green chillies, what about the rest, please let me know.
